DEMB-SR50N Effect
The MB-SR50N EFEKT system is used to make lightweight curtain walls of the hanging and filling type, as well as roofs, skylights and other spatial constructions.
Its bearing structure is based on the modern and proven MB-SR50N mullion and transom aluminium system, which offers a wide range of profiles to choose from and the possibility of selecting sections so as to flush the surface of the mullions and transoms on the internal side of the façade, thus enabling it to be aesthetically combined with the elements of the interior. This also ensures compatibility with other constructions based on Aluprof SA’s broad product base.
MB-SR50N EFEKT is a façade in which, thanks to the use of a special system of pane attachment to mullions and transoms, we obtain from the outside a uniform image of a smooth glass wall divided by a structure of vertical and horizontal lines two centimetres wide. The gaps between the glass sections of the façade are filled with a special silicone binder, ensuring a highly airtight construction and enhancing the insulating properties.
One of the key advantages of the MB-SR50N EFEKT façade is its extensive glazing options: the wide range of infill panels available in the catalogue includes single or double glazing, as well as opaque panels based on insulated glass. A real novelty and undoubtedly a hit in this type of façade is the possibility of using glass packets with laminated glass. The precise infill fixing system allows for flexible and cost-effective adaptation to the technical requirements of the project in question – it is differentiated according to the weight of the glass and includes solutions for transferring loads from the panes to the profiles in such a way that they can bear up to 450 kg. There are two standard variants available for fixing the glass: using a continuous or spot frame, which allows the production process and price to be optimised. Another major advantage of the system is that it has recommendations from three of the world’s leading suppliers of structural-weather silicones: Dow Corning, Sica and Tremco-Ilbruck, which not only adds to the prestige of this solution, but also ensures and guarantees the strength and airtightness of the structure, as well as easy access to the technology among glazing companies. Also noteworthy in this system is the possibility of using silicones in a wide range of colours, which considerably broadens the spectrum of creating the aesthetics of the façade.
