MB-SR50N

The system is designed for the design and construction of lightweight curtain walls – flat hanging and infill types – as well as roofs, skylights and other structures.​​​​​​​
aluprof.pngmb-sr50n-4-pl.png The shape of the mullions and transoms makes it possible to build aesthetically pleasing facades with visible narrow dividing lines, while ensuring the durability and strength of the structure. The profile shapes enable mullion and transom profiles to be selected in such a way as to create a flush surface effect on the mullions and transoms on the inside of the façade. This allows the glazing development to be a uniform grid in view. At the same time, this facilitates aesthetically pleasing and accurate connections to other built-in elements: interior walls and suspended ceilings.​​​​​​​

Characteristic features of the MB-SR50N system also include a large range of mullion profiles (from 65 mm to 325 mm) and transoms (from 5 mm to 189.5 mm), as well as modern accessory and connector solutions. They allow for increased load ranges – the infill of a fixed facade module can have a weight of up to 1,100 kg. The MB-SR50N system gives considerable freedom in the design of façade fixing points, and the wide glazing range also allows the use of large glass and double-glazed units.

The use of a continuous thermal break made of insulating HPVC material and profiled EPDM glazing gaskets allows for an adequate class of thermal insulation and minimises the phenomenon of water vapour condensation on aluminium elements. Similar to the previously known mullion and transom facades, the MB-SR50N system is an aesthetic variant: PL (the so-called horizontal and vertical line, where the divisions – horizontal or vertical – are emphasised) and the semi-structural façade type EFEKT. Particularly noteworthy is the version with enhanced thermal insulation, MB-SR50N HI, which uses special two-component insulators.
The MB-SR50N system makes it possible to incorporate various types of windows and doors into the façade, including windows dedicated to facades: tilt window and roof window. Particularly impressive is its use of windows integrated into the façade, based on the MB-SR50 IW solution.

Thanks to the layered construction with non-flammable materials such as mineral wool and plasterboard, the façade lintel-window strips can, as in other Aluprof façade systems, achieve a fire classification of EI30 and EI60, depending on the construction.

Special overlay profiles and appropriately shaped pressure and cover strips are provided for the horizontal and vertical section of the angled wall, so that there are no restrictions on the spatial shape of the building and the need for special angle columns is eliminated.

The reference document for declaring conformity for vertical facades based on the MB-SR50N system is the Harmonised European Standard “PN-EN 13830 Curtain walling - Product standard”.

Burglar-proof structures can also be constructed on the basis of this system.
