Vekaslide 82
The Vekaslide 82 lift and slide door system is constructed on the basis of an energy-efficient window profile system with an installation depth of 82. The profiles have a heat transfer coefficient of Uf=1.4 W/m²K. With a glazing unit of Ug=0.4 W/m²K, the thermal insulation of the door can reach up to 0.66 W/m²K.
The system's very good energy efficiency is not only due to the multi-chamber profiles, but also to the threshold, which has excellent thermal insulation properties, achieved, among other things, through the use of dual-thermal breaks and an integrated insulating thermal wedge made of 'warm' graphite polystyrene called Neopor. This means that the floor by the door is not cold!
The closed profile, with an outer wall thickness of 3 mm (with a maximum deviation of just +/- 0.2 mm), meets the requirements of EN 12608, which are imposed on the highest quality profiles. The VEKASLIDE 82 system is manufactured on the basis of profiles with an installation depth of 82. There are seven chambers in the frame and six in the leaf, both of which use a reinforcement chamber and steel profiles to stiffen the structure.
The combination of the threshold and leaf has a cross-sectional dimension of 156 mm, while the frame and sash yield a total dimension of 169 mm. Doors in the Vekaslide 82 system provide a wide, almost unobstructed view of the house's surroundings, which is important in contemporary architecture that focuses on integrating the house with the garden.
The profiles are white as standard, but can be made in another colour from a wide range on request. Finishes mimicking the texture of wood are also available, as well as aluminium covers that can be powder-coated in any colour.
