Winkhaus activPilot Select

The fashion for large glazing and narrow profiles, increased interest in windows with improved energy efficiency and sound absorption are the latest trends in the construction industry. Extremely sturdy hardware is required for such solutions, especially when the windows are fitted with triple glazing units.

activPilot Select creates new scope for window designers and manufacturers. The latest tilt and turn hardware from Winkhaus, which is completely concealed in the rebate clearance, allows windows with a sash area of 3 sq m and a weight of 150 kg to be constructed.

Hardware in this weight class and, moreover, completely concealed in the rebate clearance is very difficult to construct. activPilot Select is the only such solution on the market. The high strength of the new system is based on a patented idea from Winkhaus engineers - a special design of the lower hinge. This solution guarantees high stability, simple installation and ease of use.

The activPilot Select tilt and turn hardware system has a modular design and is divided into 2 weight classes. The standard hardware is designed for windows with a maximum sash weight of 100 kg. With the use of only two additional elements: the sash hinge rail and the adapter, the hardware is adapted for sash weights of 150 kg.

The additional elements cause a different distribution of the forces acting on the hardware, shifting the weight of the sash to the lower corner of the frame. Thanks to this solution, it is also possible to equip already installed windows with more durable hardware, if, for example, the user decides to replace the pane with a heavier one - with better insulation parameters.

Windows with Select hardware can be designed according to individual customer preferences. The hinges, which are installed in the rebate, are not visible and therefore all colours and textures of the joinery are permissible.
