Safety glass
Laminated glass - this is glass pane that, depending on its construction, provides various functions - protection against burglary, reducing the risk of injury from glass fragments in the event of breakage and the risk of falling out, and because, as standard, the glass pane that provides the protection function is thicker than the other glass pane in the set and contains PVB films that have some dampening properties, the glass pane has better noise protection performance. The laminate also filters out most UV rays, allowing maximum protection for any elements exposed to the sun.Laminated glass (standard EN ISO 12543-1,2,3,4,5,6 "Laminated glass and laminated safety glass"), which consists of two or more glass panes bonded together by one or more PVB (polyvinyl butyral) films, is used to bond the glass. The process takes place in an autoclave at a temperature of about 115°C and a pressure of about 10 at. Earlier, when preparing the glass panes for bonding, the air must be pumped out of the space between the panes where the PVB film is already present.
