One chamber insulating glass

Use of insulating glasses is a consequence of constant technical development and an intent of contemporary building industry to minimize a need for heating,m and proper insulation rate of buildings plays more and more important role. Modern management of energy means, most of all, reduction of energy loss and controlled use of free solar energy.

Insulation panes are made from low-emission glass, with soft films, which are manufactured "off line" which means that metallic layer is applied to a glass beyond the production line. Value of emission ration of this layer is several times lower compared to a layer of a glass. One-chamber pane made from such a glass enables great parameters: high light penetration, maximal low U heat penetration rate, the highest transparency, neutrality of colors and optimal energy permeability (pane with inter-pane gas pillows (argon) achieves as heat penetration ratio U=1,0 [W/(m² K)].

Sound-absorbing panes

Living in a loud city it is good to invest in protection from noise. Sound-absorbing panes in windows are one of ways to deal with noise originating from the streets, sounds of trains, cars, planes and playing kids.

Acoustic properties of a window, its ability to damp a noise, have a significant impact on proper, comfort conditions for persons staying in particular buildings. An important elements to enhance acoustic insulation of a window is selection of proper glazing. Measure of acoustic attributes of multiply glazed panels is average acoustic insulation ratio Rw. It is measured in accredited acoustic laboratories acc. to relevant standards, determining (noise) damping for particular spectrum bands from 100 to 3150 Hz. Multiply glazed panels applied in building industry can achieve acoustic insulation Rw>50dB.

Filling of inter-pane space with argon does not affect acoustic properties of a pane. Way of pane installation does not change sound insulation, e.g. in a set 44.4/16/4 a glued pane (anti-burglary) may be installed either, as an external one and internal one.

Sound absorbing pane can be applied in all types of carpentry. Use of a particular pane depends on nature of a noise, which is to be damped. Different pane is applied to dampen sounds generated by slow train and different pane is applied to dampen sounds of a street traffic, and different one for needs of glazed facades of buildings or apartments located in the area characterized by large noise pollution (trade streets, highways, railway stations, airports etc.) and in areas exposed to acts of vandalism.

Sunshield panes

From many years building designers have been looking for new materials to erect facades. Today, glass is widely applied in the architecture. Houses, offices, public utility buildings are full of light but high rate of glass transparency may cause overheating of rooms and high UV radiation.

To prevent such disadvantageous effects, architects need modern solutions in the field of panes mounted at facades, and a response to such problems there have been Effector Sun Effect panes. To manufacture the panes in question there are used glasses manufactured acc to metal of metal oxides sprinkling technology which enables to obtain an ultra-thin layer assuring uniform appearance and the highest optic quality.

Because of the appearance, way of manufacture and impact on reduction of solar radiation, the sun shield glass is divided into three groups: absorbing, reflecting and selective.

Laminated panes

Laminated panes are panes which play different functions depending on their structure - they protect from burglary, they reduce risk of injuries in case they are broken. Since normally pane, which has a protection function is thicker than the second pane in a system and it comprises PVB foils, which have damping properties, the panes are characterized by better parameters of protection from noise. The laminate also filtrates most of UV radiation which enables maximally to protect all elements exposed to sunlights.

To integrate panes a laminated glass is applied (norm PN-EN ISO 12543-1,2,3,4,5,6 „Layer glass and safe layer glass”), which comprises two or higher number of panels coupled by means of one or many PVB foils . This process takes place in an auto-clave, at temp. approx. 115°C at pressure equal 10 at. During preparation of a panel to be glued, one needs to de-aerate inter-panel area where there already is PVB foil.
